A historic first
The Embassy organized first ever visit of a delegation from the college of physicians and Surgeons Pakistan (CPSP) to Kuwait, aimed at establishing structured cooperation in postgraduate medical education and training.
CPSP, widely regarded as Pakistan’s premier postgraduate medical training body with an established international footprint, was represented by its President, Prof Dr. Khalid Masood Gondal.
CPSP Pakistan's training standards, examination systems, and accreditation processes are well respected globally and form the backbone of Pakistan’s specialist medical workforce.
During the visit, the delegation held detailed discussions with KIMS and met Dr Abdulrahman Almutairi, Undersecretary (Secretary) at the Ministry of Health.
Both sides agreed to develop collaborative pathways in postgraduate medical education and training.
This development strengthens institutional ties and creates space for future academic and professional opportunities, including the potential engagement of qualified Pakistani medical teaching faculty within Kuwait’s medical institutions and teaching hospitals.
